It's been a longtime goal of mine to team up with a spoken word poet and produce a short film based on their work. After hearing Eleanor Perry-Smith at a recent TED Talk, I was hopeful that I had found a creative partner for this project. Luckily for me, Eleanor was thrilled to pair her poetry with a visual element. We began a creative dialogue based on the poem's origins and the imagery it conjured up in my mind. With the vision in place, I rounded up a talented team of fellow creatives and we shot the thing in less than 12 hours. Enjoy!
